Turning a machine into a character
The Ministry of Industry invited designers and artists to develop works inspired by contemporary milestones of Argentine industry.
The 100 pieces, presented under the title “100 Industria Argentina 2003 – 2020,” were exhibited at the Parque de la Industria as a permanent part of the 2012 edition of Tecnópolis.
REFERENCES
The Collossus is the first self-propelled straddle harvester capable of fully handling the olive harvest. It offers high efficiency, shaking over 90% of the fruit in a single pass, operating 24/7, and harvesting various olive varieties throughout its lifespan and on all types of terrain. Currently, it is exported worldwide.
CREATIVE PROCESS
The machine’s name was something unavoidable when starting the illustration. Considering the features and capabilities that make the product stand out, it was almost inevitable for the machine to transform into a kind of technological superhero—a colossus with infinite hands, capable of working with immense power yet with remarkable delicacy.
A sort of cyborg, crowned with laurels in the style of Olympic champions, led by a small and charming character.
